Dosa Paste
Ingredients:
Rice, Urad daal, Toor
daal, Channa daal, Methi seeds, Avalakki (Poha)
Method:
- Mix these ingredients in a bowl:
- 1 1/4 cups rice
- 3/4 cup urad daal
- 1/4 cup toor daal
- 1 tbsp channa daal
- 2 tsp methi seeds
- 1 tbsp avalakki
- Rinse in water and then soak in water for about 4 hour
- Discard excess water and grind to smooth paste in a mixer
- Add 1 tsp of salt to the paste and mix well
- Close the paste container with a lid and keep in warmer to ferment
- It takes around 12 hours to ferment well but turn off warmer after one hour
