Dosa Paste



Ingredients: 
Rice, Urad daal, Toor daal, Channa daal, Methi seeds, Avalakki (Poha)

Method:
  • Mix these ingredients in a bowl:
    • 1 1/4 cups rice
    • 3/4 cup urad daal
    • 1/4 cup toor daal
    • 1 tbsp channa daal
    • 2 tsp methi seeds
    • 1 tbsp avalakki
  • Rinse in water and then soak in water for about 4 hour
  • Discard excess water and grind to smooth paste in a mixer
  • Add 1 tsp of salt to the paste and mix well
  • Close the paste container with a lid and keep in warmer to ferment
  • It takes around 12 hours to ferment well but turn off warmer after one hour
